About Me

I am a follower of Jesus Christ, and the purpose of my life is to glorify God by loving Him and my neighbors. I was born in Korea, and moved to Japan when I was 4. I'm the second of four children in my family. My parents were missionaries in Japan for 14 years. I went to an international school in Japan, and moved to California during my senior year of high school. After college, I took a year off to volunteer at a Bible college in Kenya and then at an orphanage in Haiti. I'm a medical student at UC San Diego, and this year I have the privilege of traveling to India for a intensive year-long clinical research training through the Fogarty International Clinical Research Scholars Program. My career goal is to serve in developing countries as a physician researcher.
